Graduate Field Trips
The department's Storke Memorial Endowment funds an annual or (depending on expense) semi-annual graduate student organized field trip. A DEES faculty member accompanies the students on the trip, but the pre-trip research, itinerary, budget and all logistical planning are done the students. Students submit a detailed proposal request for a trip to the Storke Committee and prepare a field guide and trip report.
Past trip destinations include Iceland, Yellowstone/Wind River Mountains/Snake River Plain, Nova Scotia, the Bahamas, the Azores, the U.S. Pacific Northwest, and Peru.
