Bio
Erin Maybach completed her undergraduate education at Elon University in 2020, majoring in Dance Science and minoring in Exercise Science. In Spring 2023 she completed a Post-Baccalaureate certificate through Columbia University's Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Biology, where she conducted research on pan-genomic trends of marine cyanobacteria. Currently, she works with Sonya Dyhrman in the Microbial Oceanography Group, investigating the physiological ecology and biogeochemical functioning of marine microbes in the context of a dynamically changing ocean. Outside of research Erin enjoys skiing, rock climbing, and making pottery in her free time.
