Biography

Dr. Ebel is a geologist specializing in the meteorites that are "left-overs" from the formation of the Solar System. He develops thermodynamic models describing the equilibrium distribution of elements between fully speciated gas, liquid, and solid mineral phases at high temperatures to understand condensation, evaporation, and crystallization. Dr. Ebel uses petrological, mineralogical, 3D-textural, chemical, and isotopic analyses to constrain astrophysical models of the early Solar System.
