Bio
Jenna Everard studies global fault zones, applying noble gas geochemistry techniques to refine seismic histories and larger scale geologic evolutions. Using mineralogy and radiometric dating techniques, her research interests include the timing of slip along the central creeping section of the San Andreas Fault and the extension and collapse of the Rio Grande Rift with associated economic mineralization. Currently, she is focusing her fault dating efforts on the Japan Trench as a scientist aboard IODP Expedition 405. When Jenna is not in the lab, she can be found running/biking/swimming as she trains for her next triathlon or marathon, crocheting plush characters for her friend's cats, and camping/hiking as she pursues her amateur mineral collecting aspirations.
