Biography

I am interested in using geochemical tools to reconstruct and understand past changes in the global overturning ocean circulation, as well as their relationships to climate variations. In particular, my research focuses on generating a record of glacial-interglacial changes in the North Atlantic Deep Water (NADW) export in the Atlantic across the Pliocene-Pleistocene, by analyzing Nd isotopes of Fe-Mn encrusted foraminifera, fish debris, and bulk sediments from the North Atlantic. I also focus on constraining the composition of NADW through time, to further improve interpretations of paleocirculation records.
