Suggested Schedule for Earth Science Majors
First Year
You will probably need to devote most of this year to fullfilling your CU Core Curriculum requirements. But consider taking at least one 1000-level Earth and Environmental Sciences course, that interests you, as well. You might consider V1001y Dinosaurs and the History of Life, or V1005y The Design and Maintenance of a Habitable Planet.
Sophomore Year
Two introductory earth and environmental science couses, drawn from either the V1011/V1012 or V2100/V2200/V2300 sequences
One Earth and Environmental Sciences advanced course
One non-EESC introductory science course
Junior Year
Two Earth and Environmental Sciences advanced courses
Two non-EESC introductory science courses
Those students who choose the summer field course option should take it after their junior year
Senior Year
Two Earth and Environmental Sciences advanced courses
Two non-EESC advanced science courses
Research & Senior Thesis, if you choose not to take the summer field course
