Weekly Graduate Student Tea
Every Wednesday at 4pm, come share tea, snacks, treats and company with your fellow graduate students. Teas are student run, and take place only while classes are in session. Come to the first tea of the semester and (volunteer to host one).
Unwind after a long week at 4:30pm (or when the Colloquim talk ends) in the lounge of Monell with Lamont, IRI and Department colleagues. TGIF is funded by those who attend, so bring your $2 for beer. Orange snacks are free of charge.
Every fall, compete against your fellow scientists to make the best meat or veggie chili. Not a chef? No problem - come sample the chili, vote for your favorite, and enjoy the other snacks, desserts and beer.
Student Veggie Garden
Get your hands dirty and your vegetable drawer full. Every spring, students (and anyone else interested) plant and care for a garden near the New Core Lab. Gardeners share the planting, weeding, and picking chores, as well as the yummy end results. There has even been an end of summer garden party.
This midsummer afternoon break includes hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers. Come sit out by Lamont hall, enjoy the weather and some tasty picnic fare.
Help organize an intramural sport, lead an Open House tour, or plan a "full moon" party. Contact the GSC chairs to get involved.
