Meredith Kime

Research Interest

Meredith completed her undergraduate degree at Stonehill College in the spring of 2022, majoring in Environmental Science, and minoring in Spanish. She started as a Ph.D. student at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia in 2022, working with Ajit Subramaniam and Andy Juhl. Her research interests include validating ocean color remote sensing algorithms in coastal environments, monitoring phytoplankton blooms, and more broadly, phytoplankton ecology. Meredith was a participant in the NASA Sponsored Workshop on Calibration and Validation of Ocean Color Remote Sensing in the 2023 cohort. She is also passionate about increasing ocean literacy, and environmental justice.
